Truly, watching Jazzy Jeff get tossed from the house repeatedly as his running gag was prescient. We loved his music even more than the Fresh Prince rhymes. He was talking about real things in a clown way, but Jazzy was considered a pioneer. Prince became a novelty for TV (and eventually became quite an actor), and Jeff the bum got tossed out of the house every episode they could work it in.That always depressed me.
