So you rather pay tax on the money you make (i.e Oregon)or the money you spend? Remember rich people spend more and you can't have a tax loop hole for sales tax? Liberal short sight of not to get sales tax. Millions use our roads,police beaches, parks and facilities without paying a dime to our state.

21% is nothing compare to Austria where VAT is 32%. (everything except food)

Seriously, everyone with concerns about the economy should watch the Academy Award Winning Documentary "Inside Job." It's about the crisis and bailout of 2008. Basically, Reagan/Bush really f-ed things up, Clinton and Bush continued it, and Obama's chief advisors are same SOBs who screwed not just the USA, but the world.

The biggest problem isn't about bullet trains, green energy, pensions, or any such liberal vs. conservative issue.
