I was watching the Ohio State game last night with a few friends and ran into Greg Oden. A few things I noticed...
1- He's huge. Oh my god is he big in person. I've met some NBA guys in the past and Oden just seems like a man among men.
2- His girlfriend is really hot.
3- He seemed to be a genuinely nice guy. He was absolutely mobbed by people for the first few minutes he was there, but after a while, things settled down and he was just a guy watching his alma mater play. He was singing along with all the Ohio State chants. (It seems like they have about 50 different ones.) Cheering at every big play. It was nice to see how real a person he is, despite how high the expectations are for him. He sat down in front of a table of Ohio State fans and turned to ask if they could still see. After a while, he stood in the back so he didn't get in anybody's way.

6- Lots of folks in the crowd were absolutely starstruck. Like 13 year old girls seeing the Jonas brothers or something. It was pretty cool.
