I was an ESPN reg back in the day. Gonna take a bit to get used to this new place.

Welcome aboard. I posted on ESPN since around 2000-2001 so it's certainly going to be a change and take some getting used to not having those forums around anymore. It was bound to happen sooner or later. CBS got rid of their boards a while back with no notice at all. Thankfully they're options so that we can continue chatting about the Yankees and other teams.

Welcome aboard Bosman4nyy! It is indeed strange... but as Messiah717 said... it was gonna happen sooner or later...

Adapt to change. Moving from espn is easy! The hard part is how am I going to
adapt to my Yankees being mediocre?

Well I don't deal with change well lol!! It's gonna take a bit, but I'll get there. I agree a bit with Lion, it's way harder to deal with mediocre Yankees :-(

Hey beautiful (AKA the first lady of the espn boards). Hope you stick around. As far as you dealing with change. You may have to deal with a very painful change as I really don't see your boy Joba still with the team next season. BTW: where's your avatar? Again welcome aboard. Now drag Boney & Munson over here.

The biggest issue the Yankees face are the long term contracts to Arod and Tex. It's difficult to rebuild when you have guys stuck at the corners for another four years who are never going to live up to the amount of money you're paying them. You could have four very solid players on your roster in exchange for the $50+ Million you're shelling out for declining production. Unless you tell me Tex is going to come back refreshed and puts up a couple of really solid seasons.

Make that 70+M. You forgot about CC who's not exactly lights out anymore either.

CC is going to be 33 this Sunday so I don't see any reason he cannot bounce back. Lets face it the guy has been solid until he hit some arm trouble. It affected him the post season and he has struggled this season coming off surgery which isn't exactly a shocker. If we see the same next season that it's cause for concern. He also might have to make some adjustments moving forward as well.

To be honest, I have NO CLUE how to add an avatar...

Scroll up to the top right and click on settings. Then on the left of the page click on edit avatar. You can either upload and add a pic you have saved or you can add the url of an internet pic.

Thank you! That was easy...

Rick I don't even want to think of Joba not being a Yankee. I am not that great at technology.... An avatar may take a while lol!

As for guys like Joba I'm at the point where I don't even blame the young guys because I'm of the opinion that the Yankees don't know what in the world they're doing when it comes to young players and prospects.

I agree with you 100% messiah. The Yankees ruined Joba. I know we haven't met, but all the old regs know how I feel about Joba..... Total love and irrational devotion. :)

Cano is like the exception to rule but there have been more busts than successes for a while now.

They have to sign Cano. If he stays healthy he's going to at retirement be a 3000+ hit guy with ridiculous home run numbers. For the position he plays these would be immortal all around offensive numbers.

I personally think they will. I don't really care about the money, but I just hope they don't go and give another ten year contract.

My thought is what you will need to do with these guys is overpay per year for the ability to sign them to a shorter term contract.

I agree 100% that the Joba rules really hurt him. They really messed him up. BTW: This avatar is better the the one you've had all these years.
