No. Please no. I'd rather have someone who knows nothing about basketball who lets experts take the reigns than an ex player who's going to micromanage based on his inflated opinion of his expertise. Also, fuck Shaq.

I'd have no problem with Shaq.

1. He's a good businessman.

2. He's smart. Has a PhD.

3. He's played for well-run franchises.

He obviously couldn't buy the entire franchise. It would have to be him and other investors. I think I'd rather have a Shaq-led investor group vs some strange dotcom billionaire. We lucked out with PA, can't count on the same luck when it comes to other billionaires. There are some strange ones out there.

Proof that dogs have no long-term memories.

Maybe him and Chuck and Kenny and Ernie can buy the team.

seriously though I agree, no more billionaire owners. Being that rich does things to your brain.

I'm afraid we're going to end up with Larry Ellison. He's been trying to buy an NBA franchise for years now. He'd throw a fundraiser for Trump at the Moda, ANTIFA would burn it down, he'd take the insurance money and move the team to Vegas.

Portland would get airtime
Players might actually want to come here
Maybe we’d actually get an all-star game here
We’d have a big man coach
Chuck would have a new team to mock

The real question would be if Portland would still be Portland?

Would we get bandwagon former Laker fans?

I thought Shaq was a minority stake holder in the Kings already?

Did the Kings get any extra air time due to him being a part owner at one time? Did they get an all star game? Was he their big man coach? Did they snag any big name FA's?
