<div class="quote_poster">Quoting M Two One:</div><div class="quote_post">I really doubt if Peter Jackson were to direct the Shadow of the Colossus film that it would actually be bad. We don't actually know anything of it so that's really just your opinion of the game for the film outcome is all. Without much reason behind it nor can you explain other then writing down how you didn't like the game's storyline. You don't like the game, that's great. You're entitled to your opinion that you didn't care for the game. However, you're a bit too judgmental for a decent conversation about this subject and way too "fanboyish" and acting like an elitist at the moment. For instance ..</div>
first of all, get off your high horse.
second of all, I actually liked Shadow of the Collosus, but it had no storyline.
The game was this: some chick is laid on a slab of concrete, some other god like thing talked to you in some language, you ride your horse to where ever he tells you too and find the Collosus. Climb about the Collosus and stick your sword in its weak spot. Once dead you get hit by those black things and your back in that stone building. And you do that twenty times.
The only difference is the challenge of defeating the Collosi.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">How can you know if there isn't even a script for it yet? Judging first before the knowledge. There is no other information for it right now. There's a difference between hopes of Metroid and other games to films being good when they have poor direction and a pathetic writing team and for those that have the goods.</div>
Easy. The game had no storyline so the movie would have to make up its own if they want it to be interesting instead of 2 hours of the same thing.
Thus it will be another movie with the name to prostitute it around (much like Resident Evil)
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Once again you?re judging before any information of any kind or any knowledge of the script which doesn't even exist yet. However, I will agree that MGS the film is likely to be a good one because of the creator having every word as to how it will be done. </div>
Not judging, merely pointing out it has a chance because it has a great storyline. It's elborate, complex and well thought out. With the creator at the helm of the movie it shouldn't deviate too much.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Well I'm excited about the possibility of the film with Peter Jackson at the direction front. He always does a great job with films that require a lot of focus on scenery and imagination. I would suspect a similar direction to how he focused on everything in the LOTR series.</div>
He's producing Halo isn't he?
