Making him get in front of the media, having him work as hard as possible, while searching for his replacement behind his back. Just a horrible way of running a business. How the fuck do they think anyone else would want this job after seeing the way they're treating KP?

Here is KP, talking to the media today:

[video=youtube;5gTQ_dYh_5A]

Chad Ford gives his input:
“They’re going all out right now, which is pretty much par for the course,” a rival GM told ESPN.com. “But it’s interesting to see this sort of effort given everything else that’s going on. He’s had as good of a track record as any executive in the league and management is humiliating him. Lots of guys would’ve just quit. I’d admire that he’s going out swinging.”

Bill Simmons:
Crazy that Steve Kerr + Kevin Pritchard will be unemployed in July yet David Kahn will still be a GM. Gotta love the NBA!

KP is auditioning for his next job. Smart.

Wow... a man with focus, pride and class. K.P. is not irreplaceable, no one is, but he will be hard to replace in all those categories.

My respect for him just went up another notch.

F this ownership. I am so glad that I didnt fork over cash for season tickets. I am wondering if I will give them a cent for their games or merchandise for a while. I know it wont do anything, and I'm not trying to start a revolution, I just dont feel the desire to fork over money to them.

"Were lookin at all the options, moving up, moving down, moving out"

Sad to hear him say that, seemed like foreshadowing, KP looks like he's aged 5 years over the last six months

Fuck Politics/Drama, Save KP

Yeah I felt the same way.......just don't like the weird vibe that is around the team right now

congrtu-FUCKING-lations Paul Allen, you are managing to turn this organization into the laughing stock of the entire NBA again! I guess the saying is true about the inmates running the asylum. Unfortunately for us as fans, the Inmates are rich enough to also own the asylum.

wheels, take a deep breath brah....i'm not getting upset till its officially official

Which top-level GM or coach would want to join this clusterfuck of an organization?

I found the sight of Mike Barrett in background conducting a jovial interview with some bright-eyed draft prospect to be a metaphor for the image the team tries to portray to the public as opposed to the chaos within the organization right now. Mikey "Blue Skies" Barrett. This must be killing him, because he's friends with Pritchard, right HCP?

lol I like how people can tell I'm pissed when I start swearing. Even not being official, I personally am embarrassed at the way its being handled. It shows what kind of character of people they are. The people they are showing to be, for me personally, angers/embarrasses me enough, to have no desire to support them. (Not our players mind you, they showed me so much heart this season) I am referring to ownership.

What if the search firm comes back to Vulcan and says we found the best candidate for the position. His name is Kevin Pritchard.

It has been four years since Roy and LA were drafted. Since that time, we have won four playoff games. I am happy that management is looking at options to get to the next level and just not blindly thinking that more time is the answer. As KP said, let the best man win.

Im shocked KP hasnt told them to go fuck themselves....

"go fuck yo motha"

Its not really that they are looking at other options.. its how they are handling it.

Can't wait for Larry the interim GM Miller to take the reigns! What an amazing upgrade that'll be.

I think this also puts all the KP is smug/cocky/shrewd/etc behind the scenes to rest. Never bought into that. The guy seems legitimately genuine to me, and this just reinforces that.

If he was such a dick behind the scenes he probably would have quit by now or fired back with something. He's taken this like a man.

Perhaps while going after a free agent he can send a letter to all of the other teams threatening them with legal action if they persue the same guy.

I mean, it worked so well with the Darius Miles situation.

I'm not a fan of KP but even I have to admit that he's being treated like absolute garbage by PA and Vulcan.

KP gives pretty big praise for Nate in that inverview. He could just have easily done the same for Blazer managment and ownership.
