Raptor fans were not amused. Here's one of their posts on Realgm referring to this play:
This has to be the most flagrant example of a rigged sport. I mean the "unintentional" own basket by Rasheed Wallace, was the most intentional play I have seen in my life! Also his two errant passes, were thrown on purpose. I know he's been lackadaisical all year, but this was just preposterous. Also Rivers was keeping him in even with him playing like ****. Also Rondo is in on it. The only guys who seem to be out of the loop about this are Pierce and Allen. This game has been sold. This is all a set-up.

NBA is the most corrupt league. I **** hate them and that and that **** midget Stern. May he **** burn in hell.

Karma bitches, karma. If it exists it's gonna **** on your heads!
Sheed and Stern= accomplices. LOL.

Bill Simmons wasn't happy either:
# Now I've seen it all. Rasheed just scored on his own basket. I swear to God. It was his best shot of the season. Just kill me. about 4 hours ago via UberTwitter

I'm sure this must have been posted but I couldn't find it. Bill Simmons just destroys Sheed.

This is not at all the strongest quote but it reminded me of watching Sheed the last year of his Blazer career and knowing that they had no choice but to trade him. He is a guy who produces when the situation pleases him but otherwise, forget it.

"Sheed likes jogging at half-speed. He submits entire sequences -- two or three minutes at a time, six or seven trips up and down the court -- without ever passing either foul line. Sometimes I count to see how many consecutive possessions Sheed can pull off without crossing either charity stripe. His unofficial record is nine."

Wow. That wasn't even an accident. He purposefully put the ball in the basket. Incredible.

I thought the same live, but it looked to me like it slipped out of his grasp as he was trying to pull it down because he wasn't focused when they showed it from the angle above. That's just me.

That shit was not on purpose! He bobbled it. That was obvious.

Yea the look of sheer embarrasment on his face says it all. He didn't do it on purpose he just wasn't paying that much attention and didn't have any control of it with his right hand when he went to grab it with his left hand and it causes the ball the bounce back up.

I think he was trying to do "that thing" he does sometimes. Where he grabs the rebound and throws in an extra "pump" for effect. It looked like he was attempting to do that when the ball slipped.

Way to stay focused Wallace. CTC.

Go Blazers
