Silverton Silver Spur RV park shooter, 80, shot and detained by deputies

A shooter who opened fire at the Silver Spur RV park in Silverton around 2 p.m. today has been detained, according the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

An 80-year-old man, who reportedly is a former resident of the RV park, armed himself with a semi-automatic pistol and a rifle. He shot at least one person who transported him or herself to Silverton Hospital in an unknown condition. The shooter apparently exchanged fire with deputies before being shot in the chest and leg, according to police scanner traffic.

Or Gov't Mind Control

...no, no, no conspiracy theories here! Apparently the RV Park was trying to evict this old man [for unknown reason(s)] and he decided to make a "last stand". I haven't read an update as to all of the shooting victims, but luckily it sounds like nobody died.

Dude got shot in the chest and the leg and he's still alive at age 80?

For some, strange reason, your comment reminded me of this. Classic.

When you're 80 and being evicted, you're fighting for your life, what little time is left. He had nothing to lose.

At that age, you don't have the strength to live under a bridge. If you were ever in jail 60 years ago, social service agencies won't help.

Don't worry the Mayor is on his way down there to check on things
