All schools are on "lock out". I was just able to pick up my 4 year-old from daycare prior as they were on the phone with the police.

Unbelievable.

I see kids out on the playground of our elementary school now and the sirens have basically stopped. We live right behind the school. I'm guessing this means the perp has been apprehended?

Hey guys, 10 people have reportedly been shot. I don't think humor or politics is really appropriate at this juncture.

TUALATIN, Ore. - Officers are responding to multiple shots at a business complex at Martinazzi Square in Tualatin.

Police have confirmed one dead, and say "the suspect is no longer at large."

Tualatin police confirm that a man fired shots at a Tualatin business at 11:48 a.m. today. The business is in the strip mall at the intersection of Southwest Martinazzi Avenue and Southwest Warm Springs Street.

"This was a super-high blast," said Joe Perkins, a witness. "Everybody heard the shots." He said the shots were coming from "Industry Hill" at the top of the hill. He reported seeing a woman with multiple holes - appearing to be from a shot gun - to her lower leg.

KATU reporter Kerry Tomlinson is on the scene. The woman shot reportedly had "Legacy" written on her lab coat. There is a drug-testing lab at the square, Legacy MetroLab, at 7587 S.W. Mohawk St.

Employers throughout the area send employees to this lab for work-related drug screenings.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- At least one person was killed in a shooting at the Legacy Metro Lab drug testing center in Tualatin, police confirmed.

It happened around 11 a.m. what police called a strip mall on SW Martinazzi Avenue and SW Warm Springs Street.

The suspected shooter was "not at large," according to Jennifer Massey with Tualatin Police, who said the area was "safe."

Officials with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue said there may be as many as 10 victims but they would not elaborate on the extent of the injuries.

The shooting was reported at 7575 SW Mohawk at the Martinazzi intersection. Nearby streets had been closed and businesses located in the strip mall were evacuated. Several ambulances and patrol cars surround the scene.

A woman who was hurt in the shooting said that as many as three people were shot, according to Mike McNeil, a bystander who spoke with KGW.

The gunman walked into the drug testing center and opened fire, the woman said. McNeil found the woman running across a parking lot covered in blood
.

Police say the suspect is not at large. But there were no additional details.

Why won't they tell us yet what religion he was?! I demand this important information.

Wow I have some fam up in tualatin...damn man what's up with these shootings

Strange place to go ballistic. Either an ex-employee or someone who didn't get a job because his test came back dirty? :dunno:

I heard it was an ex-wife. That's unconfirmed, though.

Well that would make more sense, woman will do that to you (I couldn't image a job importnat enough that one would react to a dirty UA that way, even if the result was wrong.)

My prayers to the victims.
