Pretty self-explanatory. I know the league hasn't taken a hard stance on players recruiting other players, but this has felt extreme. If there was evidence of Riley trying to pull the strings of all of this, would that upset you? Would you want that investigated and punished?

I'm leaning towards yes...

I think they clearly knew this was coming.

I'm sure they did. It's probably just to be expected for superstars in small markets at this point. Candidly, I don't even know exactly what the rules are anymore, so it's certainly possible that the Heat haven't overstepped the line, but the coordination of all of this feels almost Russia-like...

They were talking about a hard court/ core press on Dame even before FA. I do recall.

Haynes said that Jimmy talked to Riley to make Dame their #1 priority.

If the conversations stayed between Dame/Jimmy - then Im not sure there's much that can be done. If Miami coaches/staff reached out to Dame- then that is tampering. It would be hard to get the proof

Dame sure changed his tune seemingly overnight.

Dame also had no qualms about burning bridges and then acting like he’s the victim.

They can investigate, but those tracks are pretty easily covered. Again, plausible deniability.

I don't know about "easily" (David Kahn tries to tweet "hello" and fails) but Heat Culture Godfather Riley? Yeah, he's teflon.

I didn't answer the poll because I haven't seen any evidence, the NBA only does investigations if they see evidence. That being said, they may have evidence that I'm not privy to that may demand an investigation take place. So maybe would be my answer. Not hell yes, not hell no and I'm not indifferent about it if they have actually done it.

Small correction. The NBA only investigates if a team files a formal complaint against another team (regardless of of there is evidence or not)
