Byron banished him to the doghouse and to some here, Byron is a better coach than Frank

Oh as in those who support Byron would then support JR not getting any playing time? Eh, that'd be an interesting contradiction if it applied to some people, although I would say that just because you're in general favor of a coach doesn't mean you support every single one of his decisions.

Nope. He is still arrogant, self-absorbed.

Ricky Davis, not Stevie Jackson.

Most 22 year olds in his situation would be self-absorbed...fact is while in the league he has not been on a team with players who could be role models for the lifestyle he should live. On a team like the Nets he'd have two players in RJ and Vince with whom he could keep him in check.

Neither Carter nor RJ are much the mentor type. They are in the business of basketball, not baby sitting.

Smith makes horrible situations on and off the court. Putting him on a team with a coach who would not play him, in a city like NYC, would just asking for trouble.

No, as in the people that both believe Byron is the better coach and that JR Smith should get significant playing time on the Nets

J.R Smith was struggling big time, and Byron Scott gave J.R a bunch of tried to redeem himself and he never showed up. Than J.R started having an attitude after being bench. Byron went way to easy on him imo, but he said J.R was like a son to him.

JR is RJ backwards...
JR wears 1, if he were a Net, he can wear #5 (how dare he! )
1+5 = 6
the conspiracy continues!

Post reporter Benjamin Hochman posts entries on this blog devoted to the Denver Nuggets. Visit it here.
Coach George Karl has a variety of cringes and scowls, expressed routinely when J.R. Smith is in the game. The trigger-happy Smith has the ability to catch fire, but he also forces shots and prevents the offense from flowing.

"He's just J.R.," Karl said. "He can be good for you, and he can be good for the opponent."

In the past six games, Smith averaged 49.2 percent from 3-point range (31-for-63). But he missed a fourth-quarter layup with Denver leading the Bucks 99-92. Milwaukee cut the lead to 99-96, and while the momentum shifted, Smith was called for a charge — and then a technical foul.

Denver's FO likes JR. I highly doubt they give him up for nothing.

Bring J.R. back to Jersey where he belongs!! I went to a couple of his high school games and it wasn't even fair to whoever had to guard him b/c he would get embarassed all game long. Smith is young as has great potential. Look what happend when we took a shot on troubled Sean.

I'm not saying he won't get into trouble b/c he'll be back in Jersey not pussy ass Colorado plus his roots are here so something will probably happen but who knows maybe Marcus n Sean can influence him. All I know is that he is a great player.
