What in that previous post was incorrect?

It was just as correct as pointing out that the Celtics couldn't beat a Portland team missing Roy. Just as devoid of useful information, too.

Yes. Anthony Johnson doesn't play for the Nuggets.

Also, as Minstrel said, it was devoid of useful info. You mention Martin being out, but you fail to mention that we were missing Greg, and Martell.

And the beatdown was expected. We'll do the same to them when they come to the RG.

Please, stop with the Celtics non sequiturs on all your threads replying to me.

So the team that will likely win the NW Division (Nuggs) doesn't have an upper hand in making noise in the playoffs? Come on.

With Oden, I'd bet we'd do OK against Houston.
I wish I shared your optimism, ABM. I have yet to see anything from Oden that makes me think he's going to be a "difference-maker" this year.

KMart has played well this season for the Nuggs. Martell won't be a factor for the Blazers this season. That's a false equivalence in your argument.

Sure, we'll make a deal. You start working some logic into your posts, and I won't keep bringing up the Celtics in inconvenient ways.

I was responding to rather bigger claim implicit in your post, that this win shows that the Nuggets are significantly more likely to win the division. I'm sure Portland being on the second game of a back-to-back combined with being less used to Denver's altitude had nothing to do with the outcome.

Going into this game, both teams were essentially even in record. Denver winning a game in which it had virtually all the advantages doesn't mean a whole lot.

Martin has been below average this season. Oden has played better and Portland was missing him.

Anthony Carter's been crap this year.

The Nuggs have a much better chance to make noise in the playoffs, simply for the fact they will likely have HCA. They beat the crap out of us tonight without KMart and Anthony Johnson.

They will likely have HCA? After tomorrow night they will once again be tied with us in the loss column, and the one head-to-head meeting is at the Rose Garden. How do you figure?

I agree, both of us would have more of a chance of winning a series if we have HCA and right now at least Denver does seem more likely to have HCA, but that can always change.

Here's how figures: Portland just lost a game. That means they're the suckiest bunch of sucks who ever sucked. To steal a line from the Simpsons.

what charles is pretty spot on with this team. i do think we are about the 6th or 7th team out west and we will struggle in to get out of the first round. why does everyone take this like it's some sort of surprise? and why does everyone get bent out of shape over something barkley said?

also all this talk of the last game deciding the NW, remember that team in Utah, i hear they've been playing ok recently. sadly they will win the NW and that last game against Denver will be a 5 seed or 7 seed game.

and why does everyone get bent out of shape over something barkley said?

Especially since he was spot on last season about how the Blazers' inability to get easy shots was going to to be their downfall. The same holds true this season.

If we get HCA we'll win our 1st round series. If we don't get HCA we'll lose. Simple as that. It has nothing to do with the failure to acquire a player at the trade deadline. There was nobody available that would have been a difference maker.

Even if we have HCA I think we'll likely lose a game at home and won't win any on the road. We are just to young and our road record against the top 9 (1-12) teams proves we aren't ready yet.
