Rumor SJ's Marleau drops NTC

Would only accept trade to Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings or
New York Rangers........Hmmm.

My feeling about this is "Say NO". Marleau is 36 years old. Nuff said.
At one time, Sather would have over paid to get him to New York.
I do not think Gorton will bite on this deal.....I hope not.

Gee, thanks Marleau. He's a relic. He's overpaid. Look at the Rangers record. They obviously have no need for him.

Slim chance they send him to a division rival. Wouldnt surprise me if we ended up with him next year at the deadline, when he's on his walk year and we don't have to worry about fitting his cap hit for an entire season. We could do a lot worse for a rental. Although hopefully Buch will have developed enough by that time so that it isnt a need.

Want no part of him this year and I doubt Gorton is even entertaining it.

EDIT - now that I think about it, ANH might try to make a run at him. They've been looking for a LW on the Getzlaf/Perry line for a long time now. I cant see SJ trading him to LA, but ANH might be a different story. That rivalry isn't as intense.
