Unfortunately will likely miss all of training camp.

This will very much impact the ability to trade Cam in the offseason. We may have to wait for the deadline now, which is unfortunate because we could have used a return for him sooner whether picks in this draft or a roster player.

We also missed out on O'Connor the BU goalie, so Skap was pretty much the only option if Talbot was traded. Dont see Halverson in a backup role yet at all.

unfortunate but im sure there is another option out there we need average to below average for 10 to 15 games max

Yeah that shouldn't deter us from trading talbot for good return

well he was backing Danis up... I think he got shelled early in the playoffs and they put Danis in

From what I read he had been nursing this tear awhile, and it just became too much for him considering how low he plays. He was available to back up if needed but couldnt play every day on it. Im far from an expert on the Pack though, so could be wrong.

I'm not saying this blows up everything considering Cam, but the front office is going to have to take this into consideration and find a viable backup outside the system if they do indeed decide to trade him (likely at a higher hit than Skap would have had).

Goaltending market is extremely weak this year...aside from Niemi there won't be any starter-quality goalies on the market. Maybe Enroth. Dubnyk is due to be a FA as well but I dont see how MIN lets him go after the run he had. Even if they did, I doubt he would ever go back to EDM which is the team in biggest need of a goalie. Bryz and Fasth will also be out there, but they've both also bombed out of EDM as well.

I still think he gets traded, either to EDM or possibly Dallas.
