The Canton Charge defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce 100-82 Friday night. Sioux Falls trailed by just four points (68-64) heading into the final quarter but was outscored by Canton 32-18 in the final frame to drop its fourth straight home game.
Canton (27-17) led 26-21 after the first quarter behind and pushed the lead to 11 points (32-21) in the second quarter before settling for a 47-41 halftime lead.
Sioux Falls (22-21) started the second half on 11-4 run to take a 52-51 lead following a lay-up from James Mays. Canton regained the lead and shot 70.6 percent (12-of-17) in the final quarter to pick up the road win and increase its lead in the East Division to 4.0 games.
Kyle Weaver posted 20 points and five rebounds to lead the Charge. Antoine Agudio scored 19 points behind 5-of-7 3-pointers and Michael Eric recorded 14 points and seven rebounds off the bench.
Mays posted a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Seth Tarver recorded 15 points and six steals while Andre Barrett added 13 points and eight assists.
The same two teams tangle at the Sioux Falls Arena tomorrow night at 7 p.m. CT.
