Anybody us this. I travel so much, I wanted to be able to not just talk to my wife and kids, but see 'em too. Just installed on both of our computers and have tested it out here around the house. I'll be using it for the first time tomorrow night from NYC. Wondering if any of you guys have any advice on using it.

If the sound quality is poor, hang up and reconnect. Sometimes you can get a much better connection that way.

Love Skype. The client version on the PC is actually better than the mac though. I sometimes do conference calls on skype (only up to 4 or 5 people)....voice quality is landline-like.

Watch out, if you sign on another computer it doesn't automatically sign you out...you can be logged in on multiple computers.

also the messenger on it kind of sucks sometimes, it delays messages at times.

I bought a skype phone for about $150 a few years back. It plugs into ethernet and works like any old cordless phone, but for making or receiving skype calls.

I can't complain about the quality. It sure is nice to not have to be tied to the computer with wires (or even have a computer turned on).

I got a netgear wireless skype phone last year. it sucked ass.

Now I just got an ipod touch and I'm using that (I had to buy the ipod headphones with the microphone built into it though). using skype on that seems to work nicely actually.
