I have a Slingbox....there is no limit on the distance because Slingbox doesnt "broadcast" a signal....it basically works like this: #1you set it up on your TV at home and connect it to the internet....once its configured correctly it give you an id code....you download a program called a slingplayer on the computer or device you want to veiw your TV on...the slingplayers uses your id code to find and connect to your slingboxm and you can watch your own TV....a few things, the faster the connection on both ends the better the quality is....when I 1st connect, the picture is choppy and the sound is too, but it uses compression technology to stablize very quickly (under a minute) and the picture and sound become very good(as good as your monitor will allow)....when you change the channel, it resets that connection though, so its not great for channel surfing....but, you really can watch your home TV from anywhere with a computer and a internet connection, it does work, with slight limitations....Id give the product a 10/10 because it does exactly what they say it will do, nothing more and nothing less....
