So do we now have to make re-signing injury prone center Joel Przybilla a priority?

I ask this because I think with a lot of people it was sort of a forgone conclusion that Joel and his expriring contract would either be traded at the deadline or just not re-signed. How much does this change the importance of that situation for you?

I personally love Joel, but I think it's time to rebuild/retool, and using his salary is a good way to do that.

We don't have to resign him; Kamen's playing like dookie in LA and Sterling might want some defense to go with his ridiculous offense. :ghoti:

So are you in the let him go via trade/not re-signed category?

If there's a deal that makes us better without putting Camby on the line (i.e., get a decent enough backup or a starter he can back up), then yeah. This isn't a daycare.

If an opportunity presents itself, Joel has to be let go. It's unfortunate, it's a shame, but he is a trade asset and this team needs some new blood, if only because of the gruesome injuries.

I like Joel, but he was no difference maker before his surgery. He's far more valuable to us as a trade piece than a rotation player at this point.

I am pretty much ready to choose a few pieces to try and keep and blow it up.

Yup. Clear the decks, get under the cap by letting Joel, Greg and Miller expire and trade Camby for an expiring or draft picks, unload our foreign prospects if we can and focus on building around Batum, Matthews, Aldrdige, the shadow of Roy and maybe Johnson.

I love Joel, but let him go back to the Midwest. Use he and Miller's salaries to try and get an impact player.

Same here....Batum & Matthews for sure....maybe the rooks (Johnson\Babbit\Williams)...

after that...everyone else is expendable for the right price IMO...
