Just askin', because his recent play has me genuinely confused.

He has a coach that is showing confidence in him.

Nolan will never be anything but a back up in this league, but he is smart and can do enough that he should be able to play for a long time before he coaches

He seems to lack confidence.

I think there are several players in the NBA who play sparingly and therefore lack the confidence to step up.

He needs to consecutively produce average numbers for more than 5 games before I label him valuable. He lacks the consistency like Babbitt which is why I can't praise either one. But besides leanord; they are the second best players off the bench. I liked what Sasha was doing though.

Smith looked best at SG while Lillard was on the floor with him. He gets in the lane as a SG and is a good finisher. Has a nice floater.

Although we need back up SG's, we need a back up PG more. And right now none of our PGs are playing great. Lillard had a bad game other than a couple nice passes in the 4th. Teams seems to easily force the Blazer offense outside until the shot clock winds down.

It's hard to say what he is or will eventually become, but it's somewhere between replacement level (maybe) and serviceable backup combo guard.

No, he still sucks...

Yeah I am going on a limb and say that he is a lost cause. He doesn't do anything really for this club. Where we seriously fail is at back-up PG. We need a serviceable PG that can bring the ball up and handle pressure defense and play some good D himself.

We finally saw lob passes. Nolan should give some tips to Damian

Smith's PER is 2.8 with a Usage of 21.7%.

He's garbage so far this season.
