I went to the beach this weekend with my family. My little girl was walking around picking up seashells.

There was an older man near her writing on a shell with a shapie pen. He walked over to her and handed her the shell. I said thank you to the man and he smiled. He walked ahead , picked up another shell and began writing something again.

He had written an anti-Obama message on the shell. My girl picked up a few more he left on the beach. I saw him a couple hours later walking back, picking up shells and writing propaganda on them.

Well, it kind of ruined MY day. My daughter actually liked finding the shells with writing on them.

I think it's incredibly rude to try and shove politics in someone's face like that. Plus he ruined some perfectly good seashells

I can't believe he honestly thought he would change anyone's view's or opinions by writing slogans on seashells. He did it out of spite, not to provoke thoughts on the subject. It's the same as someone writing "Deeez Nutz" on the bathroom wall or spray painting "Fuck you" on a train car.

We painted the shells when we got home. His slogans now have girly pastels all over them.
