So what do we think of Coach Stotts?

If I were his Realtor, I'd be counseling him to rent, not buy.

I think he's done a solid job given all the new faces, a new system, and an awful bench. Barring a major injury to a key player I expect us to have a better 2nd half than first, if we don't then I will judge more harshly.

Mixed bag, IMO. I think part of why I like him as much as I do is due to who preceded him. Simply by coming in after Nate McMillan makes him look golden! However, there are some issues I have:
1 - He thinks that LMA can be used (effectively) in the same way Dirk was/is used.
2 - The defense.
3 - The offense, while much better than the past 6(?) seasons, still has issues. We're still largely a jump-shooting team. I'd like to see more plays designed to get the ball to players who are moving towards the hoop. Generally when we score in the paint it's off the dribble, rather than off the pass. This is also one area where I'm not overly impressed with Lillard - IMO assists off of jumpers are "less" than assists off of lay-ups/dunks.

With that said, I'm not displeased with Stotts. I don't think that he's going to coach a team to a championship, but I'd love to be wrong about that.
