he played in the Twins organization from 2005 to 2011;
picked up by Texas Rangers...released 2013...signed
with Yankees.

The twins couldn't figure out how to use this kid????

don't get caught up in the moment. I would be more weary of a flash in the pan when a team like the twins gives up on a guy.

I'd be wary, too.

And of course, he gets hit by a pitch(nowhere near the plate).
Now, be weary! lol

LOL no big deal in this imperfect world

figures twins, 1 of the org.s i played for, 1 if not the cheapest orgs in history of all sports, we were housed in an airport motel in spring training, which they happened to own, we used the phillies stadium in tampa during instructional league, we were fed hot soup in crackers for lunch every day, and we would have killed 1 another for a second bowl, esp. the 1 day a week when we got chicken noodle

Incredible stuff Pastafazul.....honestly stunning account. Thank You, I never had a clue, as to the cheapness of the Twins Org. I am blown away, crackers and one bowl of soup, not even homeade, a airport motel.....damn, cheapest Org. in any sports history, no doubt, that had to be a living hell, enough to make any ball player think about playing another sport...!!!

...yes, because teams never misjudge talent...Chris Davis, et al say hello.

Pedro Martinez- (Lasorda and Perranoski were often to blind to see what they had). Scouts had said Pedro was far out-performing his Dodger brother, Ramon, at an earlier age...! The rest was history.

Steve Chilcotte: Drafted #1 by the Mets in 66, fresh out of the local High School here, right ahead of who??? REGGIE....Chilcotte never saw the Big Leagues, yet spent 6 years at all Minor Lg. Levels...

Bob Welch, had 9 consecutive 1-0 games he would lose with Zero run support, and a incredible .972 ERA over that period in the latter 80s....traded, became an Instant CY Young winner.

Dave Stewart-5 consecutive 20 Seasons with Oakland, after being Traded by L.A., tho' this asswipe, was sent packing, as he was busted by L.A.P.D., in the downtown alleyway, getting, yes..(sick fokker) a B.J. by a Transvestite, good riddance Motha' Fuckah.....talent, and a nut-job.

...all good examples, Matts.

"and if California slides into the Ocean, like the mystiques and statistics say, I predict this Hotel will be standing until I pay my bill"..(Warren Zevon).

Touche-59, good golfing weather yet in Middle Georgia?

...been real nice for the last week...mid 70s and 80s. Already harrowed up my soil for my annual garden, mixed in some chicken shit from a local chicken house, started my seeds in peat pots...I'm ready to go.

...I think I posted this pic before but it's of one of my okra stalks from last year...you can compare the diameter of the stalk by looking at my wrist in the pic...nobody around here has ever seen them that big...they eventually got to 8-9 feet tall and i had to bend the stalks over to harvest the pods. So I save 5-6 pods and dried them and figured genetically, they'd reproduce the same type plants this year and those are the seeds I'm germinating now.

That's okra on fucking steroids. You're suspended buddy, no gumbo for you.

My Lord, I have never seen Monster-ized (diameter of a Fore-arm) HOLY MOSES, Jack and his Beanstalk, had nothing, comparable to your harvest yield, from your incredible garden, of Green Giant-Okra.

You've got a corner on the Okra Genome Market- beware of Monsanto, LOL....

Thanks 59, you made my day, my wife is blown away....so am I...an understatement...!

Stunning pics 59, …..I have to admit far exceeds my wildest imagination...I do miss Georgia’s Okra and its other incredible Produce.

Being diagnosed diabetic upon arriving in Perry, fresh bountiful Produce, was a lifesaver, and, was available every where. Even available frozen in Winters from the local Kroger’s. Altho’ those Fresh Country Produce stands, or markets, were/are loaded with Local GA., Produce, were/are, second to NONE.
California’s San Joaquin-Central or Mexi-fukn-Cali produce, is not comparable. Altho’ I’ve preferred Ca. oranges over Fla...

[CA., Tomatoe’s are comparable, yet all other produce, and fruits, like Watermelon, (any melons for that matter), or Stawberries, PEACHE’S, et. al. from/in-Georgia were/are much better, IMHO].

BTW- Kroger didn't need to freeze any produce this winter, it froze itself.....(well no, it was harvested)....

I have been wondering indeed, when seeds were going down into the Earth there.....

one of the biggest mistakes, I may of ever made, was indeed, leaving the green country of Georgia, for this fuckn wasted barren, damned dirty Hurricane winded, Mojave Dried out desert.

Thanks for sharing this pic clip...now a screen saver on this old P.C. (all accolades returned to you of course)...!!!

(Southern Louisana-[Luzianna] had lots of water, green rice and sugar cane fields, great tomatoes, berries, melons, but some polluted nasty bayou waste lands). Great Cajun Culture, yet those Refineries ruin any bodies day down in Hot assed beyond humid, Southern La. or Ms.

...for whatever reason, the only tomatoes that do well down here are cherry tomatoes or my fav, Romas. Larger hybrids just don't seem to fruit well here.

I too find Roma's a more consistent tomatoe. I prefer a good juicy Beefsteak, yet the last good Beef-Steak came out of the Mississippi Valley of Louisiana, or Kansas' Savannah, as well as Fresno, CA. Tho' these Produce companies here want as much to ship those big tomatoes, down here, and they want as much for those red jumbo's, as they do for a Filet Mignon.

I get it "Beef-Steak", but this State-CA., gets its commerce all turned around ass backwards.

...never been able to grow the larger varieties here for some reason and I've had my soil tested by the extension agency. Everything else does well in my garden, okra, smaller tomatoes, potatoes, radishes, cukes, and greens during the cooler months. One of the tricks I learned about growing tomatoes is to avoid watering them from above with a sprinkler. Instead, I use a cheap soaker hose that is buried in the soil next to the plants...also, though most people will plant tomatoes in direct sunlight I have found that it is best to plant them where they get some early morning and late afternoon shade. This helps in preventing the tomatoes from splitting open from the summer heat.
...as far as the bigger "maters", when I need one I simply buy it from the grocery store...but the Romas are perfect for eating right off the vine or salads...or better yet, they are perfect for making home made salsa.
...and when growing cukes, I have found that using a trellis is a must.
...and okra?...with the exception of water during dry spells, they are virtually maintenance free, although harvesting the pods and removal of sucker leaves actually promotes more fruit growth..
