OT Something's not right here...

A family friend's kid (good friends with my oldest) is 7 and just had 2 root canals today in baby teeth...

And what's worse, is she's bragging about how well he did on facebook... I'm sorry... you give your kid candy at least once a day, blame your kids rotting teeth on bad luck and then brag about it?

I'd be ashamed of how poorly I raised my kids if they needed root canals on baby teeth...

Also... Why is this dentist (not our dentist) doing root canals on baby teeth? Why not just pull them??? I mean, what the hell?

...something sounds fishy to me, hammer...I don't believe that baby teeth even have "roots"...none of mine did anyway, my Son's either.
...I've heard of dentists putting fillings in baby teeth but that about it...sounds like the dentist is just picking the woman's pocket.

My sister-in-law works in a dentist office (front desk now as she's pregnant), and I have other family members who are hygienists... all of whom are completely baffled by this...

It is possible our friend misheard.... But still... Stop giving them fricken candy at least once a day... he's 7 and weighs twice as much as my kid... granted, my kid is light, but still... factor in the teeth issue... I mean, good God man

I have seen their diet... kids don't eat healthy at all... her son, the one getting the root canals today was being cheered on my her sister sucking on a lollipop... COME ON.............

No doubt... this woman has some serious oedipal issues... Not quite sexual... but she's woken her son up (same kid) just to wrestle with him... he's 7 and doesn't go to bed until 10 or 11 as it is... and then she wakes him up on top of it? great friends, but she makes some horrible parenting moves...
