I've always liked this song, I don't know why.

I have a soft spot for pre 1981 REO Speedwagon.

great song. as out there as he is.. one thing we can mostly all agree on.. hell of an artist.

yup. I watched Almost Famous recently and the scene where they are all singing on the bus pretty much sealed my affection towards that song.

Absolutely. I never really noticed what a great song that was until they were singing it on the bus, in that movie. A "click" moment for that song.

Agree. I had previously heard and liked that song, but the scene totally made it a classic for me.

I find that for most of these songs that I'm "afraid to admit that i like" always have some sort of story behind them that made me like them. For instance, [video=youtube;VRVFfgoIKcg]"] this song is pretty terrible, but I got some pretty cool stories from listening to it at parties and the like.

Since when is Elton John a "guilty pleasure"?

I thought he was always considered to be a grade A pop music performer.

Did I miss a memo?

not really a guilty pleasure, just one the a lot of people would be afraid to admit they like.

This thread made me think of this scene:

I like Elton John and I'm not afraid to admit it. Granted I like his older stuff more so then his newer stuff but still...

Steph Curry and friends did a parody on this.

Makes me think twice about drafting him.

I know.. but all stereotypes aside, its easier for some females to admit it versus some males.
