A team of individuals going by the name LulzSec, who recently managed to deface PBS.org’s homepage, announced that they have broken into SonyPictures.com and compromised more than 1 million user accounts. An additional 75,000 music codes and 3.5 million coupons were also uncovered.

Someone really has it in for Sony.

I will not be surprised to see an article saying "Sony Hackers found Dead."

what's the point really? Doesn't look like these guys are doing it for the credit card info and using such info to make themselves rich, although, maybe they are.

I'm not sure entirely what their intent is from all these hacks. But they are hacktivists of sort. They've been hacking crooked government sectors and showing how weak security can be for big companies. I'm just curious to see who's next in their firing line.

LulzSec, aka the Lulz Boat, compromised the personal data of over 1 million users and posted all their “personal information, including passwords, email addresses, home addresses, dates of birth, and all Sony opt-in data associated with their accounts” on the Swedish BitTorrent tracker site for the world to see.

The information has been posted on TPB.org, and is available for everyone.

Mostly doing it to fuck with Sony re: the Geohot court case, and to discourage other corporations from coming down on breakers.

Man, i think that's such bullshit. what the hell else is sony to do if Geohot is trying to jack their shit.

Well the argument is once you buy something, you own it and can do what you want with it.
