And positioned them to get much better with subsequent deals, and likely to get Howard, so not necessarily. The NOH owners nixed the trade, not "the league" just like the NOH owner nixed a trade of Paul to the Blazers a while back. Once Howard is a Net, I'll feel much better about CP3 to LA, because I also don't think it improves them, but I don't doubt they'll be able to use the trade exceptions, draft picks and other assets to pull of another sweet heart deal. Seems like some of the owners are as sick of it as the fans. Also, someone said the Hornets would also have to lose West to make it work? If so, not such a great deal for NOH?
