The report says that Jefferson and his teammates will face battery charges. Specifically, Jefferson and offensive tackle Chris Davenport will be charged with second degree battery. Defensive tackle Josh Downs, a starter, and wide receiver Jarvis Landry will be facing a simple battery charge.

If Jefferson and his teammates are indeed arrested on Monday odds are that they will not be available for LSU's season opening game against Oregon.

*disclaimer: Duck fans know plenty about media hype and jumping to conclusions. I'm simply posting for reference purposes only with this being such a huge game with potential NC implications. I sincerely hope it's all mistaken identity and media overplay and LSU comes Sept 3rd with full roster.

I dunno H. I don't know jack about JJ's backup. After watching JJ and looking at his stats, he's the guy I want at QB. Terrible accuracy.

Do you know how foolish you continue to look? I posted three news articles that said four LSU players were to be arrested and charged on Monday. Notice, even the title?? "Sources", not me, are saying this. I also added my two cents about jumping to conclusions.

If you care to discuss this, and not use a tragic situation as a platform for your petty personal axe grinding, I'm in. If all you can do is continue to be a finger pointing little sissy, I'm going to start ignoring you...because you bring little value to the board.

As a former investigator, I'm able to comment on this with a little insight. There is never an official timeline. Press releases regarding arrests can be used to get cooperation and voluntary interviews - which happen. Anyway you slice it, it seems to be serious and these players could face felony battery charges (similar to assault found in ORS). It could influence not just the upcoming game with Oregon, but the LSU season and these guys' future.

I hope it all works out for the best and Oregon faces a full LSU roster...

You posted a thread with a title stating Jefferson would be arrested Monday. That is obviously not true.
