And I know Kylo was injured but I really felt he should have been more skilled with a lightsaber. Finn was able to hold his own for a little bit and Rey pretty much beat him, and neither of them had ever used a lightsaber before.

Finn kind of looked like he'd be in Isis at points. dunno, just kind of looked that way.

I didn't hate Finn but some of his dialogue was pretty stupid in my opinion. "Droid please" and especially "you got a boyfriend?" stuck out to me. I thought Poe was much cooler, I wish he had more screen time. Finn just kind of ruined the immersion for me at some points. His character seemed like he'd fit better in a Marvel movie than a Star Wars movie. I've seen it twice now and I didn't think anything Finn said or did was funny the second time around.

In fairness, Finn was raised to be a mindlessly obedient storm trooper. I doubt he had much socialization. I personally liked the fact that he was basically a simpleton when it came to interpersonal interactions.

That's actually a large part of why "You got a boyfriend?" seemed so out of place to me. That line and lines like it didn't seem to fit his character or Star Wars as a whole. It seemed like a 20 year old from our world's lame attempt at humor to me. It literally reminded me of that "Can I have your number?" skit from years ago.

Looking to Star Wars for believable dialog is like expecting a hipster to to be accepting of your favorite 90's grunge bands. Go back and watch the love exchanges in Episode 2. "I've been dying a little each day since you came back into my life." ....?! "That we would be forces to live a lie .... and it would destroy our lives." !!!!! I've heard porn stars ad lib dialog in the middle of Star Wars parodies better than that sh-t!

Seriously, if Lawrence Kasdan hadn't cowritten the new movie... it would have probably have sucked.

I'm not gonna go back to episode 2 for anything. That movie is an absolute piece of garbage. I also don't think I said anything about wanting the dialogue to be "believable".
