Ahem, 4 yards longer than the NFL record!

Very impressive, obviously, but if he'd kicked it on that low trajectory in an NFL game it would have been blocked.

Still...wow.

thought this was going to be about nailing a 67 year old teacher.

Wow! great find there, Very fun to watch, although the shreeking female was enough to only watch it twice with the sound on..fee ride in collage is predicted

Even more impressive, he actually had some room to go. Akers kicked a 63 yarder this year that hit the crossbar and bounced over.

That should earn this kid a full ride.

Why would a kicker want to play at Oregon? So he can watch them go for it on 4th and 3?

Eh.... the kickers get more work than you'd think, but not against teams that we're blowing out. The Ducks actually have a history of good kickers going to the NFL.

Wow! I was the kicker in HS for our football team. My longest FG was 45 yds. We used to play at Civic Stadium(Jeld-Win). Actually my best FG was only 25 yards off one of my lineman's ass then off the crossbar!

Is the college record still 67 yards? Too lazy to look it up, but I remember way back in the day when both Russell Erxleben (Texas) and Steve Little (Arkansas) both kicked 67 yarders within a two week span. But they used a kicking block and a special kicking ball (smoother than a regular ball for less wind resistance).

BNM

Didn't Jason Hanson do that at WSU as well? Off a tee?

Edit: Nevermind...his was 62yds, and was at one point the longest without a tee until Gramatica came along.
