St. Joe's Dedicates Center To Dr. Jack

Saint Joseph's dedicated its two-story, 20,000-square foot addition to the former Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse to Dr. Jack Ramsey, who compiled a 234-72 (.765) record as coach of the men's basketball team.

The Ramsey Basketball Center is the first part of a multi-phase initiative to expand the athletics department at the school.

Ramsey coached 20 seasons in the NBA including time with the Philadelphia 76ers, which won a championship in 1966-67. In 1976-77, he coached the Portland Trailblazers to a national title.
The Ramsey Center houses the men's and women's basketball programs as well as the Communications offices.
Ramsey had local ties as well, living in Ocean City for a number of years.
