The Idaho Stampede has added NBA veteran forward Derrick Caracter to the roster.
Caracter (6-9, 275, UTEP) played four games for the Idaho Stampede during the 2011-12 season. In the 2010 NBA Draft, he was selected 58th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers. Caracter played 41 games for the Lakers during his rookie season but was waived after he injured his knee. He most recently played for BC Pieno in Lithuania before returning to the NBA D-League. In addition to adding Caracter, the Stampede has waived Richard Howell.
The Stampede expect Caracter to wear number 42 and be in uniform tonight when they host the Santa Cruz Warriors.
