Durrell Summers and Carlon Brown each had 18 points and the Idaho Stampede beat the Santa Cruz Warriors 101-80. The Stampede (10-18) defense held Santa Cruz (18-11) to just 36.0 percent shooting from the floor for the second straight night.
Coby Karl had 14 points and six assists, while Justin Harper collected a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) off the bench. Jason Ellis had eight points and nine rebounds and Reggie Larry, in his first action with the Stampede this year, played 6:35 and collected one rebound.
Santa Cruz was led by Taylor Griffin, who had 13 points. Mickell Gladness had a game-high 11 rebounds off the bench. The Warriors committed 18 turnovers, made just 6-of-23 three-pointers and trailed by as many as 32. The Stampede got off to a hot start, making 12-of-14 free throws in the first quarter to establish a 30-17 advantage after the first period.
