Would you do this?

Rudy + Blake + Outlaw + Przybilla + Pendergraph for Hinrich and Deng? It works on trade machine.

PG Hinrich/Miller
SG Roy/Bayless
SF Deng/Webster/Batum when he returns
PF LMA/Cunningham
C Oden/LMA

Leaves us thin up front, but our perimeter defense would grow by leaps and bounds. Keep in mind Joel can opt out this summer. You are basically trading Rudy and Przybilla for Deng and Hinrich...do you pull the trigger?

Hinrichs is crap this year I'd do Rudy for deng though
And Deng was crap last year. Hinrich still has gas in the tank and is an upgrade over Blake. Point is buy low, sell high. Rudy = high, Hinrich = low, Deng and Przybilla = correct evaluation

Not a fan of Kirk. I like how Deng has played this season but I'm not ready to give up Rudy.

Miller would start over Kirk though.

Leaves us too thin.

Pryzbilla is the best back-up center in the league. And with Oden just starting to develop, we NEED Pryz for the next two years!

Outlaw can go - especially with what I'm starting to see out of Cunningham; Blake could go - especially if Hinrich came back in return; Deng would be nice.

If you want Deng and Hinrich, then you need to trade Miller (after Dec 15th), not Blake (financially speaking), keeping Blake as a solid bench guy. And we'd have to give up Outlaw and maybe Webster.

Hinrich, Blake, Bayless, Mills
Roy, Rudy
Deng, Cunningham, Batum
LMA, Pendergraph, Howard
Oden, Pryzbilla

Out: Miller, Outlaw, Webster

In: Deng, Hinrich

Why would the bulls want Miller when they need a shooting guard and have Derrick Rose?

I'm thinking Przybilla will opt out next summer and try and get a contract before the cap is lowered. He is a starting caliber center, and when Oden starts playing 36 minutes (when not if) then Przybilla will want out even more. I am virtually certain Joel will opt out next summer. I am basing this trade on that assumption.

Rudy is a fantastic player, but Deng fills a critical need with exactly what we need at the 3. Hinrich might be playing poorly now, but last season convinced me he can play when he is inspired. Bulls are still a mid-level team. The Blazers are very close to contending. I believe Deng and Hinrich would put them over the top. This would also solve the minutes crunch until Batum returns then Webs can sit.

I was simply replying to the original poster. The proposed trade leaves us too thin.

In my honest opinion, we don't need Hinrich. We could use Deng at SF however!

How about Webster (who can play the 2/3) and Outlaw (who can play 3/4) plus Bayless (who can play 1/2);

for Deng

TRADE CHECKER APPROVED

Miller / Blake / Mills

Roy / Rudy /

Deng / Cunningham / Batum

LMA / Pendergraph / Howard

Oden / Pryzbilla

Add a veteran PF (banger-type) by the trade deadline...even if we have to trade Howard and Pick to do this, and we're very strong! and very young!

I'm not sure that's the trade we need to make, but it's not a bad idea though. We would need to get a center somewhere that can play 24 minutes a night

I like Hinrich. I always have. I think he's a great defender, which would be really nice for once.... but I'm really liking where our team is right now. I kinda want to see how things shake out over the next couple months. If we're still having problems, make a trade at the deadline.

Heh, I think you were cribbing off this 3-way I suggested in the Bulls forum :)

Or maybe great minds think alike. If Przybilla is a complete non-starter to trade though, I think it's hard to make a deal for both Deng and Kirk that fits the salary requirements for the trade.

From a talent perspective I would be interested in seeing Kirk and Deng come over. But I think the days of SPAM are over.

I don't think the Blazers with let Pryz walk. Wouldn't he be a restricted FA if he opts out? They will match. He's too valuable to this team. With Greg's history of injuries and foul trouble, you need to have a serviceable b/u. I hope the Blazers feel this way anyways.

From a talent perspective, I like it, but it makes Portland very thin up front...probably unsustainably thin. Portland's only backup "bigs" would be Juwan Howard, Dante Cunningham and...Luol Deng (in addition to him starting at wing). And Cunningham and Deng aren't true big men. And none of the three can actually play center.

So, I don't think Portland can do it.

I actually like it. But I think I would want this instead.

Rudy + Blake + Outlaw + Przybilla + Pendergraph

For

Deng, Noah, James

Miller\Bayless
Roy\Webster
Deng\Batum\Dante
LMA\Noah\Dante
Oden\Noah

I think with Noah, we would be unstoppable. He is the hustle guy we need. I really like that lineup. Then Jerome James expiring is good.

Chicago becomes...

Rose\Blake
Rudy\Hinrich
Salmons\Outlaw
Thomas\Gibson
Joel\Miller

You really want Roy pouting, don't you? He hangs out with Travis and Pendergraph.
