Probably not the end all. It more likely only means more fans support his comportment in regard to Anthem etiquette than his team mates or the league.
In a lot of cases the people who buy the jerseys aren't even football fans
I would not be surprised if many of these buyer are not fans either. Perhaps just Americans.
