If some aren't aware of Steve Gleason and his story then I will fill you in a bit.
He was a standout LB (albeit undersized) at WSU. He wasn't drafted but made it on to the Saints roster as a special teams standout.
After the Saints returned to the Superdome post-Huriccane Katrina he made a memorable block of a put that created a touchdown and forever cemented himself in Saint fan's hearts.
After retirement he was diagnosed with ALS (commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease).

They think there could be a link between ALS and sports but they can't prove it (at least yet).
