The guy has been a major source of ineptitude at defense, throwing and offense this evening. He's got to be one of the first to go at seasons end,

Sad thing is I can see him being the starting catcher next year if the front office stands by their 189 million budget. I really want another catcher like McCann but if the front office is cheap we could be looking at Stewart and Romine again.
Actually Rick I thought Cervelli was a free agent but after his Bio you know what suspension don't know if he would be back. I would be all for Salty if they can't get McCann but I think both would be pricey. At this point anyone is better than Stewart/Romine combo.

From a pure free agency strategy, If we signed Ellbury and Salty, that 2 holes for Boston to fill also. I say don't resign Grandy put his money into Ellsbury and have a elite leadoff hitter who will benefit from 81 games in stadium. Also can steal at will, something Gardner can't do, However with Gardner hitting second, it would allow for great speed at top of order. Who cares about the lefty righty matchup if these are some of your best players. Salty adds another switchhitter with production. Win Win.
