Stockton topples Santa Cruz in season opener

Santa Cruz Warriors fans filled Kaiser Permanente Arena on Friday night to witness NBA G League regular-season action in person for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Some of them may have been tempted to move the masks covering their mouths to over their eyes: The Warriors fell to the Stockton Kings, 122-97 in their season opener.
