We just purchased a vacation home on 30A. My wife was 100% in on the idea. I came in around 78.3% due to the topic of this thread.

I just almost got stuck by lightning yesterday while doing bird research at St Joseph Peninsula State Park on the gulf. The system just created a big dark and mean storm over us in about 5 minutes. Of course, I was about a half mile away from our UTV when it started and was carrying my normal aluminum tripod and scope. Had to run my ass off and swim across a lagoon to get to safety. Crazy.

My honeymoon got destroyed by Irma in Puerto Rico. It's why we visited an island out of the hurricane belt this year. Totally agreed on storms.

This happened to my apartment complex a couple weeks ago. Florida is crazy, bruh.

Nah, I wasn't affected. The lightning strike woke me up though, it was so loud. I didn't know anyone that was affected, it's a huge apartment complex.
