My take on Strome is he's not a # 2 C. Ideally he's a 3rd line guy. I'd deal him this offseason for an upgrade at # 2 C. Only caveat to that is if you can keep Strome, and add another good solid top 9 forward, but I think that's unlikely due to the cap.
