Fox viewers are more likely to believe falsely that (by this many percentage points):

•Most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely)

•Most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points)

•The economy is getting worse (26 points)

•Most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points)

•The stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points)

•Their own income taxes have gone up (14 points)

•The auto bailout only occurred under Obama (13 points)

•When TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it (12 points)

•And that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States (31 points)

While at the gym Wednesday I did a side-by-side comparison of Fox News Channel and CNN while running the treadmill.

Fox: panelists talking about the repeal of DADT and when it will be enacted, posting a poll about how differing groups of military members thoughts about it, then talking about implications of the tax bill.
CNN: Anderson Cooper talking to a random Facebook poster ("Holding People Accountable", or something like that) about his crazy thoughts on homosexual suicides for about 15 minutes and Dr Gupta talking about "John of God", a faith "healer" for about 15.

Maybe it's anecdotal, and I just happened to pick the one time when it's like that. But when one channel dedicates half an hour to fringe, unknown crazy people (whatever their spin on it is) and the other talks about national policies and their implications, it just kind of makes me wonder about what other "news" Cable News Network provides.

CNN, which was once a serious news network, is now crap. That does not excuse Fox from being crap, however. Why anyone would waste time watching either (except to verify the crap quotient as you did) is beyond me.

Did you shower with the women afterwards?

barfo

They actually pointed out why CNN has turned into crap and thats because they want to stay neutral so there stories are short without that much discussion and for the main point so boring I would rather watch Bill O'riely then them.

No. I guess my gym subscribes to neanderthal thinking that I can't control myself around naked women, like I'm just there to look at boobies and stuff.

Your grammar is appallingly confusing.

I used to be a news-a-holic but over time I have virtually cut it out of my life. The realization that I have no ability to affect change, and that there are so many people who are willing to be duped, make watching the shit they call news a chore. Around election time I catch up on politics, and I follow stories that jump out and grab me, but for the most part I live my life separately from FOX/CNN. I do stay somewhat current online, but even that has lessened of late. MSNBC is fun to watch at times, but like FOX it also has a strong political bias, but that bias is one that agrees with me, so small doses of that can be amusing. FOX can be amusing for spurts, but in the end I always get pissed and fun goes away.
