The Blazers traded Derrick Jones Jr and a 1st for Larry Nance Jr. They are required to have 14 players to start the season. They have 13 spots filled, meaning one more move is in play.

If you would like to submit a question or comment regarding the Blazers or NBA for tonights (Aug 30th) episode of Around The NBA With Chris And Eric, you can do so by replying here and we will answer/read it on the podcast

With the addition of Nance Jr., do you predict a buyout player coming in or is NO done until after the season starts and we come up on the trade deadline?

Could Nance take the starting job over Roco and what bench player do you think will surprise us other than Nance

Do you both really think Portland is going to go further in the playoffs than the Lakers this year? If yes, what would you put on the line to bet someone on the forum for? A paid dinner? $100?

What do you think of Slo-Mo? And what do you tnink of my two three way trades that get him here?
1. CJ and Roco to Philly, Curry to Memphis and Simmons and SloMo to Portland.

2. CJ and Brandon Clarke to Philly, Roco to Memphis, Harris, Curry and Slo-Mo to Portland.

You honestly think Memphis would give both Anderson and Clarke for RoCo?

If they thought he was a better fit and was better than either of those two individually. I agree it's doubtful they would make this trade; just throwing shit against the wall...

Who is slomo? I keep seeing this nickname and haven't a clue who it is. Lol.

NBA teams are required to have 13 players. The league guarantees 14 average or they get penalized. Learn the game then post. I heard that somewhere, but I can’t put my finger on it

Alright I listened to the answer to my question on your podcast. @KSF-ERIC and @Chris Craig. If the Blazers make it farther than the Lakers in the playoffs I owe you both dinner. If the Lakers make it farther than the Blazers in the playoffs you both owe me dinner.

Have any restaurants you both prefer?

As was said on the podcast, Neil is keeping his eyes open for buyout players and at teams with overfilled rosters who will have to waive players. But, as we are seeing Neil is signing several players to non guaranteed contracts to have them battle for the 14th spot.

We could eventually see Roco and Nance start next to each other, but Nance will come off the bench behind Roco. We will see Roco and Nance play together.

It's possible. Depends on health. People in the forum don't like to pay up.

I think Anderson would be a terrific fit in Portland. He's a great defender. He is versatile. He can shoot. What's not to like.

I like the 1st one. I don't think Memphis does that though

Memphis definitely not moving both Clarke and Anderson for Roco. Plus, I don't want Harris anywhere near this team on that contract.
