If Miami truly gets Giannis for this pile of poo then it’s because Bucks are caving to Giannis’s desire to play in Miami

And bam just like I said, being reported Giannis has said only team he will resign with is Heat. Really screwing Bucks over on his trade value.

Not sure we get involved if it’s the Heat, I don’t see a player beside Ware that I’d want. As people pointed out in here he doesn’t have the best reputation so probably not worth a first rounder from us so we hang on to Bucks picks and ride it out

Giannis better be careful with that. At his age and pay scale teams might find him MORE tempting if they know they won't have to commit to him long term. As Toronto proved, you can rent a superstar short-term and get a championship out of it.

But as I said, I'd be very happy if the Bucks got a crappy package in return for Giannis - makes our Bucks picks all the better!

Wish list
1. Giannis- only player that makes us true contenders
2. Brown- next best available player and proven he can be a number 1 option and at least puts us top 4-5 in west and give us a chance.

Guys for the right cost I would take chance on
3. AD- wildcard top 15 player when healthy and great on both sides of the ball
4. Embid- value has dropped but still elite when on the court
5. Kawhi- dropped few notches for me I think he has a few good years left not sure he makes us contender but makes us elite defensively and a guy you could play on Wemby come playoff time.

After that you make trade to improve but still not championship level
1. Murphy
2. Zion
3. Fox
4. Kat doubt he’s available unless plays bad in finals
5. Chet rumors swirling he may be available
6. J Murray- doesn’t seem like good fit but would help for sure

I’m sure I’m missing some but these are realistic targets I think will be available.

Giannis makes us a "true contender" less than Durant made the Rockets contenders. Give it up with this hunting superstars bullshit. Get 'em young.

I mean, does anyone really regard Scottie Pippen as a "Blazer Great"?

I don't even want Brown, to be honest. Too many miles on those wheels already.

This sounds like a bad sequel: Please Come To Miami II: Don’t Be A Herro

I would love to have built through draft but it hasn’t worked so far. Neither Scoot or Sharpe look like franchise saving players. We have no idea what Bucks picks will look like now that they changed the lottery format. Also good chance we are playoff team moving forward which means we won’t have lottery chance with our picks. Sitting back and wishing/hoping/praying we land a top 3 pick is asking a lot. If healthy Giannis is top 5-10 player offensively and defensively. Saying he wouldn’t make a difference is silly. Now if you want to argue he won’t be healthy I can see your point.

Pippen was a great player for us, he did so many little things that was the glue for that team that should have gone to and won the finals.

Lmao at Brown having to many miles, that guy was in the running for MVP this year.

If this is the case and the Bucks do like Clingen, Is he still untouchable?

What am i missing on Anthony Davis? He just got traded to the Wizards. Is he getting traded again

the Bucks want to cut long-term salary; that likely means for Milwaukee, Grant and Jrue have negative value.

Miami can offer two big expiring contracts next season in Herro and Wiggins

I don’t see Mil as a huge free agent destination without a super star there. If the best players they get back are expirings then don’t trade those mil picks.

that market is worse than us when it comes to luring young millionaires. no offense to milwaukee.

Clingan as untouchable to get Giannis? I want to say, "No," he is't.
Turner is listed at 6'11 but measured during the draft at 6'9.75" with a 7'4" wingspan.
Bobby Portis, listed at 6'9, measured during the same draft at 6'9.5" with a 7'2" wingspan.

Portis is the better rebounder and shoots 3s.
Turner is the better shot blocker and shoots 3s.
Portis is more mobile and can play both spots PF/C. Turner is a C and costs more: $26.5M (with 3 years) vs. $14.5M in 2026-27 (two years).

Excluding theorizing on how many picks would be involved ...

A Giannis-Turner trade of 5 Blazers to make salary and take on $4.3M in additional salary
Grant + Clingan + Sharpe + Scoot + Murray = Giannis + Turner

A Giannis-Portis trade of 4 Blazers to make salary and take on $5.8M in additional salary (and not include Scoot)
Grant + Clingan + Sharpe + Murray = Giannis + Portis

A Giannis-Portis trade of 4 Blazers to make salary and save $0.2M in salary (and not include Clingan)
Grant + Scoot + Sharpe + Murray = Giannis + Portis

So instead of trying and failing, you’d just rather not try.

We get Giannis and maybe, just maybe, we make it to the second round next year. Then he is a free agent and off he goes to Miami and we have traded away some of our youth and probably a number of picks which would hopefully enable us to build sometime.

It isn't about not trying, it is about reality. Giannis does do anything to takes up more than a half level - if he stays healthy and I don't want to give up future hopes for an extra bowl of popcorn now.

Giannis had a career best PER this season. KD is way past his prime but Rockets still may have gone further if KD wasn’t hurt in playoffs.

But what do you know? Did you have the Spurs in the NBA Finals this time last year? They’re over/under was 43 wins. Did you have Boston at 2 seed? Detroit at 1 seed? What’s reality? Bottom line, if we get Giannis, we have a chance at championship. He is one of the best players to ever play the game and he is still in his prime. You gotta try. It’s not a guarantee of success just like OKC wasn’t guaranteed to return to Finals. But doing nothing is not trying in my opinion.

Sharpe, Scoot, Clingan, Grant, Murray, 28 and 30 swap rights back

For
Giannis and Myles Turner.

Would ya'll do it?

Thats about all that would work salary wise while keeping Deni and Camara and Jrue (if Giannis requires Jrue to stay).
I’d rather trade Camara than Scoot, and I’d rather not trade Clingan until next summer (or never depending on how he improves).

Assuming the same cost, I'd rather have Portis instead of Turner.

Turner is one of the most over-rated players in the league.

I REALLY struggle to see how Deni and Giannis would operate on the same floor.

Both like the ball in their hands. Both like to drive. Both struggle shooting from outside. It's a very clunky fit.

Deni is basically a Walmart version of Giannis (although still very good).

Honestly, as much as I love Deni as a player, I think he needs to be included in a deal. (add picks as required)
Take Portis ($14.5M) into the MLE ($15.5M)

Giannis isn't the answer.

I know, because I actually understand basic things.

Fact, not opinion. I already know I'm right.

I know that not even you think that just adding Giannis makes us a contender. Just a few weeks ago you were talking about acquiring Giannis and Kawhi (which isn't realsitic given our assets) in order to actually contend.

We all know we're not one piece away from contention especially a piece you have to give up so much to get.

Above is a trade that makes sense sending Deni and Jerami for Giannis but I still don't think that makes us a contender next season.

To me you build by acquiring more young pieces that can grow with Scoot, Shaedon, Deni, Tou and Clingan. A small ball 5 is what needs to be added to that group and shooting. Dame will bring some of that shooting. Also I'm hoping that Scoot and Shaedon get better from three and add some of that shooting.

Just not willing to give up on any of our home grown talent at this point... maybe Clingan but I would want a good return.

I’m not even sure Giannis’s game will age well. I think I’d rather add Brown honestly.
