Scoot is for real.

Shaedon is...... coasting? He had a rough game today but he grabbed 8 boards and 4 dimes so it's not like he's standing around doing nothing. He just wasn't hitting the shots that he usually hits.

Rupert has potential. He needs a lot of time in the weight room and he doesn't have much of a shot, but I love his defense and his hustle. Give him a couple years.

Murray has done nothing. I'm just not seeing it. This guy is supposed to be NBA ready.

Jabari Walker IS ready. Give him 20 minutes a game next season.

Badji is not going to be on the team next season. Reath looked WAY better today.

Reath is a legit backup center.

Good thoughts. In fairness to Murray, the chaos of summer league is exactly the opposite environment in which he might excel... especially on a Scootless team that has no one that can generate shots for others.

I think he’ll be okay as a spot up shooter but he has to do more than that.

First impression - we took Kris Murray too high. He’s missed most of his wide open corner 3s and I don’t really notice him in any other way.

Sure, but he still needs the team framework, offensively and defensively, to function. I've never believed he was going to be a "shine-on-his-own" player.

Walker looks to have had a really effective offseason training approach and or it’s just coming together for him.

That’s not saying much.
I remember posters getting annoyed with me last year when I was saying Keon sucked in summer league.

But overall tonight the defense was what I was impressed with. Walker is looking good overall on both the side of ball. He definitely should see minutes this year.
Me too. They got back on defense and clogged the lane effectively.

Scoot looks great
Sharpe has not looked good. He has not developed being able to drive to the rim. He often gets caught in no man’s land. Pretty disappointed in him. Hopefully he is still working hard.
Jabari has improved and is looking to contribute more this year.
Murray looks invisible out there, it may be just be summer league but disappointed so far, should of picked a project upside center imo.
Rupert is looking like a long project but has shown a few flashes.

How rare is it for a player to not dribble before shooting a free throw?

Scoot is MVP of the SL. He makes the team better and has been the best out there. I hope he plays next game.

Shaedon is bored. Mind not in the game. Someone needs to piss him off and get him interested.

Murray hasn't shown a whole lot, but he hasn't touched the ball a whole lot either. He was better with Scoot out there.

Rupert is young, but has potential. There is fight in the dog.

I don't understand why we drafted Murray instead of giving that pick to the bulls for ours back.

We could have just kept watford instead :dunno:

No reason to give a pick to the Bulls as there's a chance it's only a 2nd rounder.

If we had done a trade to bring in a star with Dame maybe; but now there's no reason to.

I hope we give the 2024 pick to the Bulls because this roster makes the playoffs, then we'll have multiple MIP candidates on the roster.

Just finished watching tonight's game on DVR.

Some thoughts:

Jabari Walker- very nice game. Shot well from distance. Grabbed a bunch of boards. Played good defense, even drawing a charge on the touted one.

Kris Murray- looks exactly like Keegan. Wished he played exactly like Keegan.

Ibou Badji- the guy has 3 boards through his first 2 games. That's pathetic from your starting center, and it's not as if he's on the perimeter, shooting 3's. Even Grandpa Reath outplayed him tonight.

Rayan Rupert- looked so much better than in his first outing, but he struggled shooting. Showed some nice handles (looks more comfortable dribbling on traffic than Sharpe). He didn't finish well at the rim through contact, so he will need to work on getting stronger.

Shaedon Dull- did you have too much fun last night in Vegas? He looked lackadaisical, as if he was half asleep. His jump shot was way off tonight.

Scoot Henderson- great cheerleader. Wish he could've played and posterized Wemby.

I mean, I guess. But isn't that like 3-4 years out when it turns to a 2nd? I have to.think.we make the playoffs in the next 3-4 years. We will need to make our moves within 4 years if we pay Sharpe and plan on paying Scoot to really maximize our cap.

I'd rather have had the flexibility. To get Chicago to take the protections off it likely would take unprotecting a year. Pick #23 seems like a small price to pay. Watford is younger than Murray too.

I think people are way over reacting to Sharpe’s bad shooting night. Too much fun in Vegas the night before or just an off night. We all saw what he can do against actual NBA competition last year.

Does anyone know if Scoot is coming back for the next game?

Honestly he’s probably only interested in SL to play with Scoot and if Scoot isn’t there why would he even bother? It’s summer league. This isn’t even preseason. The only people getting any real practice are the ones protecting Wemby from being physically touched at all.
