They do not need either of those players with Beal taking most the minutes at SG and Glen Rice Jr. essentially providing the same production as McCollum likely would.

I figured CJ would be Beal's back-up. Didn't realize they drafted Beal's back-up.

Martell Webster also moved to the 2 a lot when he was not on the court with Beal.

Well dammit - find me a way to get 'Dre! (Or another PG who's capable of running an offense...)

No doubt.

I think we should sign Oscar Robertson. Now that guy's a baller.

Bill Russel. need that 12th ring. can mentor lopez. provide quality minutes off the bench as the backup center.... only listed at 6"9 but his legacy can't be ignored. Would instantly make the Blazers a Championship contender.

i bet charles oakley could still knock a dude on his ass

Batum, mccollum, Leonard and wrights expiring in a sign and trade for a superstar wing that's a free agent. We go from a possible 5th seed to title contender.

You seriously want to trade CJ for Andre Miller? CJ must be your new whipping boy since Aldridge is getting an extension. LOL Trade CJ for a 38 year old back up point guard? Crazy.
Not a whipping boy, I just don't see how he fits with this team. He seems like Dame-lite. He has skills, but not the skills we need. We need someone who can run an offense when Dame/Nic are on the bench. Whether or not it's 'Dre, I don't really care - I just want a capable floor general. CJ isn't going to be that guy.

And LMA will ALWAYS be my whipping boy, regardless of contract status. ;)

Yeah I see what you are saying, CJ is a tweener. It's hard to see him playing with Damian. I'd trade him too, but not for a guy nearly my age :)

Cj is an asset to be used in a trade. He and Barton are redundant.

I repped you on the need for a back up PG that can be a floor general. But I would rather not get rid of CJ as he is the 2nd best player on the team in terms of shooting off the dribble. (If Mo does not come back)

We need someone other than Damian who can flying down the court and be able to stop on a dime and hit that soft pull up jumper. Nic and Wes are OK at it but theirs is more of a set shot. (Or a one dribble and shoot)

This is a kind of deja vu (No not the strip joint) moment for me as I said the same thing a few years ago about Patty Mills. At that time only Brandon had that ability on our team. I love guys like that. Crawford was great at it, but they miss used him. We need more than just Damian to do it especially at the end of games. I am hoping that CJ will play with Damian when they go offense/defense down the stretch. CJ is all SG not PG. He has a skill set we need, just not the PG skills we need.

S&T for Avery Bradley, maybe? After drafting Smart and Young, am guessing they don't have big plans for keeping Bradley around. I saw someone somewhere throw out 7-9 a year for him, and I just can't see that being the case. Not many places he's going to start, I dunno, just don't see it. But at a lower price, depending on which direction Boston goes, could be an interesting target that we've discussed before. But in S&T, we'd still retain our MLE.

A S&T for bradley would be nice. Something like cj, Leonard?

My initial thought was something with CJ. Then I realized he's just as redundant there as Bradley is. D'oh

I like the idea of a backup PG like isiah Thomas, shaun Livingston or resigning Mo and going for a vet SF like Marion or Pierce
