Phil Hughes 5-1 with a 3.23 ERA

VS.

Chase Whitley 0-0 with a 2.57 ERA

I hope the Yankees get Whitley a win, give Phil a thrill by socking it to the Twinkies today!

I agree the kids needs a win. But if its any consolation the Yankees have won in all 3 of his starts.

If Hughes shuts them down I'm going on strike.

Now this is the Phil Hughes we've all come to know & love.

I would consider going with Betances for closer, let him get 6 out saves or whatever

Robertson is not on his level, he's a great 8th inning guy.

and there goes Whitley's first win......with a Robertson
gopher pitch.

This poor kid Whitley has to feel snake bit. This is now 4 straight no decisions. And it was his to win. Thank you Mr. Robertson.

Whitley was good but can't feel too bad for the guy he barely gets through 5 innings each start, more like a longer reliever than a starter

ERA approaching 3, really starting to tire of Robertson as the closer - he's so John Wetteland...every fucking inning is a battle, he cannot do anything with ease. 30 pitches every appearance.

I blame this putrid offense as well. It's amazing that with a payroll like this there's not a slugger to be had on this team.

yeah I think this about wraps it up officially for the Yankees this season

YOU LET UP A DOUBLE TO FUCKING EDUARDO NUNEZ

the ultimate injustice, getting killed by that fucking never was

with this bomb of an appearance, robertson's ERA up to 4.50

Warren would be more competent at this point

That's more on Joe Dan, In two of those starts he only threw around 70 pitches in games he pitched good enough to win.

I don't think I will ever "get it", when it comes to high ranked prospects in the Yankx org. who make it to the Team with big promises of success, then fall flat on their faces.

or- Yanx Pitcher's who have little to no success on the Team, or at Home (ala Ed Whitson, can't win at home, only on the road)...then they get traded, becoming more of the player closer to fulfilling those early scouting reports, WITH ANOTHER TEAM....!

The Yanx were more than patient and justified with offing Hughes, but WTF-? I still don't get it, and guess I never will.....!

This club is 14-16 in their last 30 with a tough schedule coming up.
