Gardner with the 2R single! Finally capitalizing on bases loaded less than 2 outs.

Derek playing like he's 25. 3-3 with a triple, an RBI & a run scored. And its only in the 4th inning.

Make that 4-4 with another RBI. Yankees lead now 6-0 heading to the bottom of the 6th.

What is his career hits up to? All the lists say 3358, don't think that includes today yet, so 3362?

Warren is in. 6.2 and 118 pitches for Tanaka. Would like to see him get deeper for that pitch count.

Don't look now...Boston to the basement with 10th loss in a row.

As much as I dislike the Bostons I dislike the Rays even more.

I don't blame you Michael. Personally its all I can do to watch a televised game in the Trop....I know you've been to the park, and thought is was a sauna of shit....am I right? Worst ballpark in the Majors, eh, would you say?

Got to be, I'm not a huge fan of indoor parks anyway. The Trop reminds me a bit of the Astrodome which was another joke. Was really elated when the Orioles started that retro park style at Camden Yards. I made some trips to the Cookie Cutters like Shea, the Vet, and Three Rivers, seen one seen 'em all. To me Yankee Stadium (old ) was to baseball at was St Peters to the Catholic Church. Haven't seen the cuurent unit but it sure looks grand on the idiot box.

Thanks Michael:
I haven't been to New Yankee Stadium either. I like you think Old Yankee Stadium was as you said, the Saint Peter's of all Cathedrals, in this case MLB's Cathedral of all grand parks.

I'd love to see Wrigley of course, before its to late for me, though thats a big question mark. I imagine Wrigley is a bit worn down tho' I wouldn't know from whatever refurbishments they've made in Chi-Town. I loved Camden Yards turn of new park styles, and would love to see Camden also. Turner Field is nice, but so damn over pricy, its ridiculous to attend a game in Atlanta. I did enjoy a few games in new Turner Field in 97, but didn't have to pay for the tickets, concessions, parking, not a dime....a perk....I'd of never paid if I had to, back then one couldn't even bring in a playskool cooler. One could of ate at a 5 star chef's palace for the same costs of a couple dogs, sodas, and peanuts.

those cookie cutter stadiums do little for me either. I enjoyed them in the early 60s, when they were new, and not the norm. Now, they are like a badly modeled home, with a bad theme, ie. olive green appliances, or orange ones, with f'king daisies for wall paper....not to mention that fugly shag carpet in those days. That's what those cookie cutter parks remind me of, a bad flashback nightmare......

Has anyone here been to Wrigley in the last few years. If so, please tell me how the park (overall incl. all concessions/parking/everything) is in your eyes...please....!!!
