Suns Vs. Blazers Game Thread (11/1)

Suns played great defense in the second half. Not sure why we went with the starters for so long in the third though. Our bench was on fire tonight.

Our bench was on fire against their bench. Against their starters we had no answer.

Lma was guarding Shaq, not Amare on that last dunk. Outlaw was playing the 4 in that lineup.

This demonstrates how ridiculous Nate's lineups are.

It's not like we don't have REAL centers.

We don't need to rely on a PF to play C, or a SF to play PF.

Fuckin' retarded.

Meh, we don't match up well with the Suns. This is a game that called for Oden's inside game and Webs' defense and three point threat to spread the floor. They're on their way down, so we won't have to get bitchslapped by them forever, but right now we don't have an answer for them.

This game was only on Comcast I believe since I couldn't find on DirecTV. I'm kinda glad I didn't see it. What is up with Phoenix getting twice as many free throws as us?!

Damn, tlong, it was on NBA TV and it wasn't blacked out. I wish someone would have posted that fact.

As for them getting twice as many FTs, they were the more agressive team. It wasn't favoritism, it wasn't vet calls. We were flatfooted and it showed in the FTs.

Pretty inexcusable of Nate to wait until there was only 2 minutes left in the game to bring Rudy back in. Was Steve Blake really that necessary? Fucking boggles my mind this guy.

I checked NBATV at the start of the game and it said it was blacked out? Do you have DirecTV?

Need less minutes for Blake and Outlaw, and more for Rudy and Batum.

Looked to me like the Blazers were getting tired in the last quarter. It is very difficult to play such active defense on the road after a travel day and having played last night. Without ore big guy to match Shack.

They run, we play Snailball.

it was blacked out for anyone in the portland area. tough game with the back to back.

As usual, Nate left ineffective starters in to be humiliated when he had fresh horses on the bench.

Clueless.

Sorry, man. I read on another board that DirectTV didn't black it out. I have NBALP on Comcast here in Denver.

3 games is a bit early to draw conclusions, but it sure seems as if our team still hasn't learned how to win on the road. It wouldn't surprise me if we wound up like last season, with a huge home/road split.

And no, you can't blame that entirely on Nate. It's one of the potential problems of having a young team.

I have comcast and nba tv wasnt blacked out while they were doing the pregame to the game so i assume it played all the way through no problems

I have Directv and NBA TV and I didn't see a pregame show. I just saw the previous game on NBA TV. At about 7:03pm I still got a signal and thought it wasn't going to be black out, but once it transfered from the previous game it was blacked out. :sigh:

Exactly. The disparity in free throw attempts and rebounds can easily be explained by exhaustion. I felt like Nate tried to play the second unit more once he saw how successful they were in the first half, but even they couldn't hold back the Suns.

No one can stick their man 1v1. Amare abused Aldridge tonight. Blake keeps on proving why he is backup material.

I also didn't like the lineup combinations.

Channing needs to step it up or else Travis is going to take his minutes once Webster comes back

I'm in Seattle, and I had the same experience.

Fortunately for me, the game was on Comcast Sports Channel or whatever it is.

Unfortunately for me, it appears that Comcast Sports Channel or whatever it is has a cheese cloth filter that makes everything look fuzzy. It sucks.

The time that it was on both channels at once, I was flipping back and forth to make sure that it wasn't my eyes deceiving me... and NBA TV was NOT in HD.

After the Blazers game, when I flipped to Mojo (which was showing the Oregon State game in HD) my head almost exploded in joy because I could actually see things without ignoring the blurriness and pixelation.

Oh, yeah: regarding the game.

Some good things. The Nash-less Suns are an inferior team to an Oden- and Webster-less Blazers team... which is very promising.

Aldridge was punished by Amare in the third, when it really counted, but Stoudemire is a stud and this will hopefully help LA improve.

Rudy is pretty amazing around the hoop. I'm surprised when he misses a shot because they all look like they're going in. I don't know how, but I hope he gets more minutes in the rotation, and soon.

It's too bad we couldn't have pulled this off, but we're just not good enough to win these kinds of games consistently just yet.

Shaq also had a pretty good game down the stretch, particularly after he was called for the offensive foul on Pryz.

CSN reminds me of the current Mac commercial where the geeky lookin dude is separating the money between advertising and fixing vista. That how i feel about CSN and there non-hd feed. My plasma never looked soo bad.

If i made a little more scratch i'd get the box, but unemployment is preventing that from happening.

It was blacked out. They had the pre-game show, but then the blacked it out. And so my radio/TV boycott continued for Comcast-only games...
