If Terrell Owens was unhappy that his streak of 185 consecutive games with a catch ended on Sunday, he kept his anger in check. A little.

Owens gave short and dismissive answers to reporters after the Bills lost 27-7 to New Orleans, the first game in which he didn't have a reception since his rookie year in 1996.

After the game, he did not criticize his teammates or coaches, but his discontent was evident. "I'm just going with the plays that are called," Owens said.

NBC analyst Tony Dungy, the former Colts coach, acknowledged on the network that Owens' unhappiness could become an issue.

"That's hard to coach," Dungy said.

Fellow NBC analyst Rodney Harrison went further, however, and reiterated that he thinks Owens is "a clown."

"He's more concerned with his own stats than the team's success," Harrison said.

Owens responded on Twitter by rebuking and taunting Harrison about the former Patriots safety's suspension in 2007 for violating the performance-enhancing substances policy.

From Owens' Twitter account:

"I could less about Rodney Harrison! Anybody tht using steroids, yes STEROIDS rodney, is a cheater & cheated the game! ... Is tht Y u used steroids b/c u were worried about ur stats or ws it b/c u were losing it? Lol! U're a loser & a cheater? Got any steroid ... Hey rodney! Send me sum steroids 2 the Bills facility next week!"

Owens would not reveal if he is unhappy with the Bills' play-calling

"Whether I like them or don't, I'm just going with the plays that are called."

Pressed by a reporter on what he thinks of the play-calling, Owens repeated a theme he told USA TODAY last week. He said he's unhappy with the way the media portrays him.

"No I don't want to answer that," Owens said. "Because whatever I say, you guys are going to turn it to however you want to say it." -- Sean Leahy

Stephon's, oops I mean TO's twitter account

Or is Marbury the Terrell Owens of the NBA?

Edwards was terrible, I'm not sure TO said anything egregious in that post-game interview. Maybe Rodney Harrison and Tony Dungy should try to watch the game that was just played.

Lee Evans is getting wasted over there too.

TO seemed more concerned about his streak being over than the team losing. Fuck him. Every thing he touches goes to shit. I'm surprised he thought he'd be happy in Buffalo. I give it 3 more weeks before Armageddon hits Buffalo.

And yeah, Evans is being wasted, too.

And I can't stand Rodney Harrison. He called Rex Ryan loud and arrogant. Pot meet kettle.

His only mistake this season was going to Buffalo, I'm not going to fault him for being upset after Edwards threw his entire team under the bus with Trent's lack of talent. TO's getting killed for this interview, which I don't get.

Didn't watch the game, the interview or Harrison. So it's very likely that I'm talking out of my hat right now.

But I find it odd that they/you are bringing up "he cares about stats more than the team winning". I'm by no means a TO apologist, but do you think he potentially sees a correlation between a QB not being able to find his two top receivers, and the team scoring only 7 points in a 27-7 loss? It's not like TO being double-teamed and not allowed to catch a ball was a big factor in Edwards throwing 5 TD's to other receivers. THEN it would be fair to bring up the "stats vs. winning" theme if he complained. But if your offense is poorly executed (whether or not the right playcalls are being made) in a big loss, I think there's every right to wonder why the team's best receivers (I'm lumping TO in with Evans) didn't get many passes thrown their way. :dunno:
