After falling short of a victory one night before, the Texas Legends returned to Cedar Park Center and avoided a sweep with a hard fought win over the Toros 122-114.
Toros' Flip Murray led all scorers with 35 points and six rebounds. Myck Kabongo scored a season high 23 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Eric Dawson recorded his seventh double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Melvin Ely paced the Texas Legends with 32 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Ricky Ledo, on assignment from the Dallas Mavericks, and Booker Woodfox each put up 16 points. David Ebanks contributed a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds.

The Legends shot well early on with percentages of 59.1% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc, leading 67-54 at the half. Ely led the way shooting 10 of 12 for 20 points. Flip Murray (20) and Eric Dawson (13) helped the Toros outscore the Legends in the second half, but the team was unable to recover from the first half point deficit.

All 16 teams of the D-League, including the Toros (7-7) and Legends (10-5), will travel to Reno to participate in the NBA D-League Showcase. The Austin Toros and Texas Legends then return to Cedar Park Center on Jan. 12 at 3:00pm to compete again.

Tickets are available and can be purchased at www.nba.com/dleague/austin/. Fans can stream the game online through the NBA D-League's YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/nbadleague.
